Personal Information (short bio)

Pedro Campos is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (UP), with a PhD in Management Sciences by U. Porto, Bsc in Applied Maythematics (U. Portucalense).  He is a member of LIAAD (Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support), which is a research group belonging to INESC TEC. He coordinates the Post-Graduate Programme in Business Intelligence and Analytics at Porto Business School. Pedro is also Deputy Director of the International Statistical Literacy Project (ISLP), whose main goal is to contribute to promoting statistical literacy across the world, among young and adults, in all walks of life.

His main research interests are Statistics, Data Mining, Sampling Techniques, Statistical Education and Artificial Intelligence (Agent-Based Models). The main areas of applications are Demography and  Organizational Networks.

Pedro is currently Head of Unit of Methodology at Statistics Portugal

He is also member of the Portuguese AI Association (APPIA), of the Portuguese Statistical Society (SPE), and of the Portuguese Association for Classification and Data Analysis (CLAD)...
