	Maria João Rodrigues (ISCTE and EU) Full Professor of Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa (ISCTE), Lisbon. Special Counselor of the Prime Minister for the EU Presidency.
	Gerald Silverberg (MERIT, United Nations University) Gerald Silverberg studied physics and mathematics at Cornell and Harvard Universities in the USA. He worked as a science journalist in New York before moving to Europe and studying economics and economic history as well as mathematical systems theory. He has been a Senior Research Fellow at MERIT since January 1988, now United Nations University-MERIT.
	Stan Metcalfe (U. Manchester) He is Stanley Jevons Professor of Political Economy and Cobden Lecturer at the University of Manchester. During his career he has lectured at the Universities of Manchester and Liverpool. A past President of the International J. A. Schumpeter Society (1999-2000) he is currently a visiting professor of Economics at the University of Queensland.
